Q&A
Q: "I am overweight and out of shape. Will I be able
to do this program?"
Q: "What if I can't do certain exercises?"
Q: "Are all the exercises done
outdoors?"
Q: What is different about boot camp verses a fitness class? A: Accountability, camaraderie and support. You will be in a tight group of peers who will have your back. They will care if you are not there and they will root you on when you think you can't continue. The program will help you stick to your goals and teach you everything you need to succeed.
Longevity's Boot Camp program was designed by Steve Pfiester, owner/operator and trainer for Bridal Boot Camp coming soon to Country Music Television.
The program combines some of the same military drills Steve did in Basic Training along with some of Steve's favorite exercises to help you get the results you want as fast and effectively as possible. In addition, each Longevity trainer has added their own unique training styles and exercises to make this program the most diverse and intense training you will ever experience.
Is it for everyone? No. Longevity's Boot Camp is not called Boot Camp for nothing! It is designed to whip you into shape fast just like the military. Also like the military, you will come out a winner! Longevity's Boot Camp comes with a workbook, dog tags, body composition, accountability and a LOT of intense boot camp style training with Longevity trainers.
PLEASE NOTE: It is recommended all participants see a physician prior to registration.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS

A $30 non-refundable deposit is required by Wednesday prior to orientation to avoid late registration fee ($25). Availability is first come first serve. 6 Week Boot Camp: This program is designed to be the most flexible, offering the widest variety of training times and styles. You simply choose a time that you can meet with your team (which we call squads) twice a week. Squads are small training groups with one squad leader. Then, you can choose from a variety of boot camp training times (which we call platoons) that best fit your schedule. Platoons are led by a variety of trainers and any squad member can attend them. Minimum requirements: Must attend 4 days a week and complete 9 miles a week, and attend one diet session.
4-Week Mini Boot Camp: Our 4-week boot camp offers the same training style in a large group setting. These boot camps are typically held between larger 6-week boot camps for people wanting to continue toward their goal, or for those who cannot commit to a full 6-weeks of training. Participants choose one squad time they can meet 4 days a week, Mondays-Thursdays with added Platoon training on Fridays-Sundays. Minimum requirements: Must attend 4 days a week and complete 9 miles a week, and attend one diet session.
IRC School District Boot Camp: This 4-week boot camp is exclusive to Indian River County School District Employees. The format offers large group training 5-days a week at 4:30pm. Minimum requirements: Must attend 3 days a week, complete 6 miles a week and attend one diet session.
Senior Boot Camp: This special 4-week boot camp offers modified exercises for seniors or other women who may have some physical limitations. This is perfect for someone wanting the accountability boot camp offers, all while being challenged and remaining safe. The schedule is Monday - Thursday at 10am. Minimum requirements: Must attend 3 days a week and complete 6 miles a week.
Coed Basic Training at the Max:
Running Boot Camp: NEW! This 6-week program is designed for beginners to intermediate runners. Learn the proper way to run, interval training, energy conservation, pacing, prevent injuries and more! The group will meet 3 times a week at 6:00am for 1 hour of training, which will include a run and conditioning, each week will end with a long run on Sundays, and the program will end with a half-marathon. Unlike our regular boot camps, Running Boot Campers, diet will not be the emphasis of this program, but instead, the focus will be on improving your ability to run and train safely.
MEMBERSHIP Boot Camp Programs do not include membership. Longevity offers a discounted short-term membership just for boot campers which includes childcare, all aerobics classes and full use of the facility. No obligation or commitment necessary.
ORIENTATION KICK OFF We understand everyone has a lot of questions about Longevity Boot Camp and that is why we encourage everyone to attend orientation. Not only will you be able to experience the exercises but you'll be able to learn more about the program, meet the trainers and get helpful diet education too.
Orientation starts is normally the Saturday before Boot Camp starts. Orientation includes a sampling of Boot Camp training, diet education and program orientation. Following orientation, you will complete enrollment and take before photos with Misty Lundeen of A Misty Moment. If you are unable to attend orientation for some reason, please let us know in advance so we can give your further instruction. We do not accept full payment for anyone who has not attended orientation.
PLEASE EAT: We recommend you eat prior to coming, although we will provide a boot camp breakfast between workouts. If you do not eat, you will get sick or become faint.
BE PREPARED: Below are a few things you may want for
boot camp. Towel
Mat (optional) Sunscreen or Hat (optional) Wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty Always eat prior to workouts Snack bar in case your blood sugar gets low during a workout
MATERIALS NEEDED: Diet Book or online Diet Journal. We use www.fitday.com Protein Supplements (we carry products at the club) Supplementing protein prevent muscle loss during intense training. Workbook is provided.
FOR YOUR SAFETY: Asthmatics MUST bring inhalers. If you are allergic to bees, please bring your epi-pin for your safety, since some training is outdoors. We do not recommend this program for anyone who has physical limitations, especially in the joints, that would limit movements like squats, lunges and push-ups. Please inform your trainer if you have any limitations or physical conditions.
YOUR COMMITMENT One of the reasons Longevity Boot Camp works is because of the level of commitment we require. We only ask one thing of you - that you give us YOUR 100% and that you commit fully for the entire program. In order to succeed, you must invest in the program. We have found people are more likely to succeed when they invest in something. Boot Camp requires you must invest time, energy and money. That is also why we don't do any refunds for any reason. We are lazy creatures, and if we offered a refund, it would be too easy to quit half-way through or give-up. This is also why we don't take full payment until after you have attended orientation. This way, you understand the program and training style before we ask you to commit to the program. We will give you our 100%, and we ask the same of you. Together, we can help you reach your goals.
